OUR STORY
Tehachapi Winery is located in Cummings Valley nestled in the Tehachapi Mountain range.
An extensive forty-two acre property, with eighteen active acres of vineyard, Tehachapi Winery remains the largest producing winery in the area. Residing at an altitude of roughly 4000 ft. with unique Triassic soils of granite, this combination has produced a distinct terroir all it’s own; complex and rich in nature. Also known as the Land of Four Seasons, Tehachapi has recently been made a new American Viticultural Area (AVA). Due to it’s elevation, it has similar conditions to other high altitude vineyards found in Argentina, Italy and the Spanish Canary Islands. Tehachapi Winery’s unique and rare environment has produced award winning wines, making this destination a trip you are sure to enjoy!

THE OWNER & STAFF
Mike Chan is the owner of Tehachapi Winery. You can find him at the winery actively managing day to day operations. He first purchased the property in 2014 and initially began the vineyard with three acres of Syrah. From its humble beginnings, to the well-planned and productive vineyard that can be seen today, each variety has been strategically grown to produce the best in distinct flavor!

NEW TASTING ROOM
BREAKING GROUND
We are excited to be breaking ground soon on our new tasting room! A modern, industrial style building with unobstructed sweeping views of the vineyard. The tasting room will house a full kitchen and bar, seat up to 100 guests and be the perfect venue for your next private event. Complete with a covered sunken patio, the winery will be comfortable for dining and entertainment all year round.
We currently offer tastings in our wine storehouse and barrel room. Have a seat where all the action takes place and see the vats at work. Follow us on social media for the latest updates on our construction progress.

Tehachapi Winery welcomes all well-mannered pups. We ask that you clean up after your pet, be respectful of other guests' comfort levels, and help us to maintain an environment where all of our guests can enjoy themselves. All visiting dogs are required to remain on a leash at all times.
